I can’t imagine I was the only one disappointed with, well the back half in particular of Daredevil season 2, nor that I wasn’t a huge fan of the Defenders. But it did end on a pretty interesting note for Matt Murdock, who had lost Elektra for a second time and very nearly his life. There was also some setup for Fisk to return, and as he was one of the high points of season 1, his return was inevitable.
Season 3 of Daredevil dropped
and the show was cancelled soon after. I don’t think it was a ratings issue,
although they had been in decline for a while, but with Disney launching a
competing service it didn’t seem right to promoting one of their strongest
brands, however they retained the rights to the series they have produced so
that’s at least something.
We’re back to 13 episodes both
for this season and the last season of Jessica Jones but does this series end
on a high?
